From tomorrow (April 1st, 2026) the minimum wage will increase to the following:

• Aged 21 and over – £12.71 per hour
• Aged 18 – 20 – £10.85 per hour
• Aged under 18 (above compulsory school leaving age) – £8.00 per hour
• Apprentices (in their first year) – £8.00 per hour

Now is a good time to review staff wages and update payroll systems for the new financial year.
