If the payload is over 1 tonne, it’s usually classed as a commercial vehicle – which can mean:

Lower benefit in kind tax
Potential VAT claim (If VAT registered)
Capital allowances available

BUT – if it’s too fancy or under the limit, HMRC might class it as a car, which means higher tax.
